Dental Crowns in Ealing

A dental crown is a hand-made cap that fits over a tooth to restore its strength, shape and natural appearance. At Stunning Smile Clinic we use premium full-porcelain crowns crafted to be virtually indistinguishable from your own teeth — ideal for protecting broken, heavily filled or root-treated teeth.

  • Tooth-coloured, hand-crafted porcelain
  • Restores strength, shape and bite
  • Designed to look like a natural tooth
  • Protects root-treated and weakened teeth
  • Anchors bridges and dentures securely
  • Can last many years with good care

When do you need a dental crown?

A dental crown in Ealing may be recommended if you have:

  • A tooth weakened by a very large filling
  • A cracked, chipped or broken tooth
  • A discoloured filling you'd like to improve
  • A root-canal-treated tooth that needs protection
  • A misshapen tooth you'd like to refine
  • A bridge or denture that needs anchoring

02

How dental crowns are placed

At your first visit we numb the tooth and gently reshape it so the crown can fit comfortably. A digital scan or impression is taken and sent to our master ceramist, who hand-crafts your crown to match the shade, shape and translucency of your neighbouring teeth. You'll wear a temporary crown in the meantime. At your second visit we check the fit, adjust the bite and bond the permanent crown securely in place.

03

Why choose porcelain over metal?

Traditional crowns can be made from metal, but at Stunning Smile Clinic we focus on full-porcelain and ceramic crowns for a more natural, beautiful finish. Modern materials like e-max are extremely strong, kind to the gum and virtually indistinguishable from real enamel — even right at the front of the smile.

04

Crowns vs veneers — which is right?

A veneer is a thin shell bonded to the front of a tooth, while a crown covers the whole tooth. Crowns are usually the right choice when significant tooth structure has been lost or after root canal treatment. We'll talk you through both options at your consultation.
